Continuing its expansion across Europe, SAK is proud to announce it has just arrived in retailers at both German and Scottish markets. SAK products including its galvanised shin guards – choice of some of the top footballers in the world – are now available at Hofbauer Teamsport in Germany and Greaves Sports in Scotland. With these new partners, SAK is now on retailers across 20 countries.
“Our goal in 2019 is to expand our footprint and bring the highest level of protection to more and more athletes. UK and Germany are two major football markets and we need to be here! We believe the safety of our products, their unparalleled comfort combined with our customisation options truly enable performance. And not only now but for a long time, as by preventing injuries we enable the athletes to play longer at their best”, says Madalena Albuquerque, SAK’s Commercial Director and co-founder.
With its flagship store in Glasgow’s Style Mile, Greaves Sports is an iconic multi-sports department store in Scotland. With around 100 employees across its stores, the company has a long tradition in the Scottish retail and has now a fifth generation of Greaves family on the board. In its flagship six-storey 30.000 square feet store in Glasgow customers can expect, as the company says, a kind of customer service normally reserved for buying a luxury car or a prestigious watch.
Founded in 1998 by Klaus Hofbauer, Hofbauer Teamsport store is located in Simbach am Inn, Germany, close to the Austrian border, and has a total area of almost 1200m². Specialised from the beginning on club and team equipment, Hofbauer Teamsport is an official partner of the Bavarian Football Association – the largest football association in Germany – and of the OÖFV (Upper Austria Football Federation).
SAK is passionate about developing innovative and top-quality performance gear that inspires and protects athletes all around the world.
The company combines years of R&D, field testing, feedback from doctors and athletes from top level clubs, state-of-the-art materials and innovative production techniques.
